HEAD OF PROGRAMME - CENTRAL PLATEAU

Are you looking for the next step in your Outdoor Instructor career? Do you want the chance to spend time both out in the mountains and on a beautiful Hauraki Gulf Island?

We are seeking a suitably qualified Instructor to lead our Central Plateau Programme. In this role you will be joining the Management team from The Motutapu Outdoor Education Camp and this is a great opportunity to move up to the next level in your career. This is a full time position.

The ideal person for this role is someone with NZOIA Rock 1 and Bush 1. The programme includes activities such as Rock Climbing, The Tongariro Alpine Crossing, Caving, Bushcraft, High ropes and more!! We need someone who can hit the ground running and with training, take over the programme in 2018.

There are approximately 20 weeks in Central Plateau with the rest of the year being based on Motutapu Island. Snorkelling, Sailing, Kayaking and Paddle Boarding.....it’s a tough life really!!

INSTRUCTOR POSITIONS AVAILABLE:

 Motutapu Outdoor Education Camp (MOEC) is on the hunt for new instructors beginning August 2017. This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the best known Outdoor Activity Centres in the industry, with great staff and an amazing work environment.

We are based on Motutapu Island, a pest free Island in the beautiful Hauraki Gulf.  We offer a range of activities including Sailing, Snorkelling, Stand up Paddle boarding, High Ropes, Climbing, Archery and more.

We seek people with some instructional background and preferably NZOIA qualifications in Rock, Bush or Sea Kayak.  For those with this higher skill set there may be the opportunity to assist on our Central Plateau programmes that include Caving, Outdoor Rock Climbing and the Tongariro Alpine Crossing.

For up and coming instructors this is opportunity to work for an organisation that believes in working with its staff to move forward, build skills and achieve qualifications.
